The management team of Zenith Vehicle Contracts has received recognition in the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Management Team Awards.
Now in their ninth year, the BVCA Management Team Awards recognise leading businesses that are backed by UK private equity and venture capital investors.
Zenith recently completed its sixth MBO in 28 years. The investment by Bridgepoint supported the acquisition of CVL, which expands the company’s operations into the HGV market.
Commenting on the award, Tim Buchan chief executive of Zenith said: “The team has worked tirelessly to create a customer-focused culture that continues to drive both growth and innovation. It’s great to see the company’s efforts recognised by an experienced team of judges.”
Zenith won the ‘Large Company Management Team’ category for the Yorkshire & North East and will now go to a national final on 30 November.
Peter Armitage, chair of the Yorkshire & North East judging panel and founding partner of Key Capital Partners LLP: “2016 was another exceptional year for UK investment, particularly in our region. The BVCA Management Team Awards showcase some of the teams contributing to the country’s most successful companies and recognise the excellence that private equity and venture capital supports. Congratulations to our winners this evening, and good luck to them in the national final.”
