Zenith has launched a new apprenticeship scheme to expand its talent base and commit to a significant investment in young people.

The scheme, which launched in September, runs for twelve months in the IT, operations, account management and finance departments of the business. The apprenticeship scheme at Zenith includes typical on the job training as well as putting a focus on personal development and getting prepared for the world of work. Some of the activities that the group have taken part in so far include: supplier visits, group project work, and team building activities in and out of the office.

Marisa Waddington, HR director at Zenith said of the scheme: “We are delighted to expand our apprenticeship programme and have been impressed with the calibre and commitment of our new apprentices.  Apprenticeships provide an excellent platform for young people to start their career with us.

Tom Cullearn, an apprentice in the operations department is enjoying the development opportunities of the scheme: “My apprenticeship has been a good stepping stone into the working environment and has allowed me to gain experience and qualifications for my future job prospects.”

In 2017 we will be moving our head office location to the prestigious Kirkstall Forge development and we are keen to ensure that we attract more school leavers due to the fantastic transport networks that the Forge provides. We will be increasing our apprenticeship places when we move to Kirkstall Forge. All of our apprentices are working towards permanent roles within the business with continued investment in training and support.
